BSP1024-LSS 24 Volt 10 Watt Solar Charger

The PowerUp BSP1024-LSS 24 volt 10 watt solar charger is an unbreakable maintainer that puts out 290 milliamps (.29 amps) of DC power during peak solar hours. This panel should be used with a controller, as it is large enough to overcharger batteries without one. 10 watts of solar can be used for maintenance of 24 volt battery systems up to about 400 amp hours of capacity and replace small energy consumption, such as an alarm system, LED lights, PLC, or small electronic devices. This is a stainless steel sheet with the solar material laminated to it to produce a heavy duty, unbreakable commercial grade solar panel for long term exterior use, and has 10 feet of UV resistant cable permanently attached. The unbreakable panel is appropriate for hazardous environments or mobile applications where impact or dropping is a possibility, or portable use where constant handling increases chances of breakage. The 24 volt output is used for standby generators, pumps, or other applications with 24 volt starting systems, military battery maintenance situations, and similar setups. There are not many 24 volt solar maintainer chargers available. Most 24 volt panels are much larger in size, and expensive. We like the utility of this particular panel. Recommended controller is the SunSaver SS-10L-24 unit.

Applications for the BSP1024-LSS 10 Watt Unbreakable Panel

This 10 watt panel is used for battery maintenance and recharging in small 24 volt solar applications where the current draw if any, is small (1 to 2 amps total in a day). A 24 volt solar controller such as the Morningstar SunSaver 10L should be used with this panel. We use this panel in 24 volt applications in RVs, boats, or similar setups, or generators, pumps, aircraft, or military applications. Construction equipment or trucks with 24V starting or deep cycle batteries can make use of this unbreakable panel for battery maintenance without the problem of breakage.
