Schauer JAC0348 48 Volt 3 Amp Battery Charger

The Schauer JAC0348 is ideal for bulk charging 48 volt batteries (AGM, GEL or wet) up to about 50 amp hour (ah), or as a floating charger (long term maintenance) for 48 volt battery systems to 120 ah. This is a durable, aluminum cased unit with auto sensing universal input. Typical applications include mobility (wheelchair/scooter), etc., robotics, moderate 48 volt systems. The JAC0348 is excellent for use on deep cycle batteries. This model is available with ring terminals or a 3 pin XLR connector. This is not suitable for use as a golf cart charger. They need 12 to 25 amps as a bulk charge. We have golf cart maintainers specifically for maintaining golf carts when not in use.

Schauer Battery Chargers

Schauer battery chargers are microprocessor controlled, fully automatic electronic devices, which use switch-mode technology to change AC input voltage to DC output voltage at much faster rates than traditional ferroresonant type chargers, which allows for a much smaller transformer, and therefore less size and weight, and increased efficiency. Proper maintenance of lead acid batteries keeps them healthy, and increases their life expectancy.
