SS-10-12V Morningstar Sunsaver solar controller

The SS-10 Morningstar Sunsaver solar controller is a 10 amp 12 volt solar controller in the Morningstar Sunsaver series. These units are well built pulse wave models, and designed for long term performance. They feature coated aluminum housings (no plastic). The 10 amp capacity of the SunSaver 10 is suitable up to about 140 watts at 12 volts, either single panels, or multiple smaller panels in series/parallel. The SS-10 has an LED that indicates solar power is available for battery charging, and has an operating temperature range of -40 C to +85 C. The Morningstar SunSaver controller series is a well engineered and reliable, reasonably priced solar controller solution. We frequently use this controller with a pair of Unisolar US-64 panels for about 7 to 8 amps per hour of peak sun. They are also excellent starting controllers for 10 to 30 watt applications, where the system will be upgraded with additional panels later. These aren't the fanciest controllers with all the gizmos, but if you want a reliable, well built, durable solution for minimal maintenance down the line, the Morningstar Sunsaver series of controllers are hard to beat, and are priced right.
